Body Balance 49

I've attended Body Balance filmings before, but have never participated in one. I have noticed, though, that even if I'm not regular participant in a class, I'm much better at writing the blog post for the filming if I've taken part in it.

So, given I'd done four classes - Jam, Step, Pump and Combat, I felt it was not only good for the blog, but good for my body to do Balance afterwards.

There were only two presenters this time, Jackie and Dr. Dave. Dr. Dave was in a cheeky mood, we could tell that from the sound checks before class started, and I think he really had to control himself during the filming.

Unfortunately, even though I participated with a view of being able to provide more insight into the release on this blog post, the only thing I can remember is Fred setting himself up beside me, wearing VERY tight shorts, and saying "Oh, oh... oh!" and deliberately bending down and putting his butt up in the air. I tried to squirt water at him and say "HAAAAAAAAAAAAA you wet your pants!"

Yes, very appropriate Body Balance behaviour.

I found the release difficult, as I do any Balance release. Jackie's top was absolutely beautiful - several people remarked about it, and I know since then, I've seen people wearing it around the gym. Where the HELL they are getting it from, I have no idea, since everyone in the Les Mills space is anxiously waiting for the new online LM Clothing shop to open.

There's some really beautiful, moving tracks in this release - as always, I find Balance very difficult, and the one class I used to go to regularly now conflicts with some regular business workshops that I attend. My legs certainly needed the stretch out, but it was hard since I was cramping from all of the working out I had done.

I can't compare Balance 49 to any other Balance release, since I haven't ever seen a full release before - every other class I've been to has been mixed.

It was lovely to come down from the frenetic pace of all of the previous classes into Balance, whilst still being challenged. I will say that the hardest part of class was coming out of relaxation and having to get up and drive home.

I hope to be able to look at this, and future Balance releases and develop enough knowledge about the programme to be able to write about it better. For now, I hope this will do.
