Body Attack 69

My initial plans were to participate in all of the filmings, though that didn't quite happen, since I was far too buggered from the disjointed RPM filming and Vive... of course, I wanted to save my energy for Jam.

So I observed Attack. It's very hard to be a new participant in Attack at LM Auckland (the one exception being Mid's 6:30am class on Friday mornings), so my attempts to try and learn BA69 before the filming were a complete failure. The only real successful attempts I've had at doing Attack have been at New Lynn and Takapuna since the members there are more forgiving of new people coming in and having a go.

But enough of that. The presenting crew this time were Lisa, Amy, Bevan, and US Presenter Amanda - who also presented Step. I'm unsure of whether she was supposed to be presenting Attack, but well, there she was. She was the one presenting low options this time, with June participating.

A couple of remarks about this release - it looked fun to do. It also looked irritating to do. Why? There is a LOT of music overlap. I think all apart from three or four tracks (including cool down) were musical overlaps with other programs. I recall one track where I wanted to go straight into the Body Combat choreography, and another where I started doing high speed Body Jam choreography.

The women were wearing sleeveless blue top with yellow down the sides, with yellow sweat bands and black shorts. I'm not the biggest fan of the yellow, but the blue is nice, and looks very similar to the RPM tops that I've seen Sarah wear. Bevan was wearing a white sleeveless top with some blue detail on the sides - nothing too exciting, but probably a very functional and comfortable top to wear for intense cardio.

The release did look very fun to do, but I am concerned that the songs will be aged LONG before they get to the gyms across the world, through a) radio play, and b) use in other programs.

However, there is one track that I really want to do. The upper body conditioning track. I am so useless at upper body work that I know that I will really suck at it. But I like that song a LOT. It's one of my most favourite songs ever, and I'm super excited that it's made it into a LM release... and hope it'll make the cross over into other programmes! Mwahahah... I'm allowed to be selfish :-P

I don't know much about Attack, and have only done a couple of releases, though this one looked fun. But I have my concerns that it won't be received well because of the song choices.

We'll have to just wait and see.

I agree with the song selection it felt so out of date. Usually I love the BA songs. I also felt that they should have had another guy on there. A shame Grant wasn't in this one, he has so much energy
