Body Balance 45

After all of the hubbub of the previous three filmings (BodyJam, BodyStep, and BodyPump), the calm, soothing sounds and movements of Body Balance were just the tonic to calm everyone down a bit.

Again, I missed the beginning because I was so knackered after the Pump filming that I needed to go down to the cafe to get a protein bar and some Replace hydration drink into me. (I've just fallen in love with Replace Carbo Cola, OH GAWD, tastes like Coke. Me and my bank balance are in biiiiiiiiiig trouble). Since I didn't see the beginning of the release, I don't know the names of who is presenting.

I just know that there were two male, and three female. And yes, Jackie is one of the women, and Corey is one of the men. The other three presenters were international presenters - I'm guessing that one of them is from Canada (one of the women) and the other guy is from somewhere in Europe. If anyone can help me out with the names, that would be great.

The music is beautiful for this release, though some of the choreography looks a bit tough, ack! I'll be counting on Annie to give me some options, I bet!

The pilates track looks like a hard one, and there's a lot of back strengthening work directly after it to even it out.

What I found quite interesting as someone watching the release during the relaxation track was how the man with the camera ran in and out of the participants, putting the camera in their face to try and capture the relaxed state. Several participants woke up out of relaxation, big grin on their face, and others burst out laughing. Others, look very pissed off that this big camera was right in their faces. All the while, the cameraman was a bit irritated that he couldn't get a good shot. I'm not sure I'd want anyone to video me while I'm splayed all over the floor, I don't think I'd look very graceful at all (AND I'm worried I'd let out a big huge honking snore!)

The other entertaining thing about this Balance release was that there was a special friend of mine in the corner, giving the class a go.

Look at those hot legs!

What luscious hamstrings you have, PJ!

Although a few minutes later we started hearing "And one, and KICK, and one and KICK" from Studio 2 below us, and he sprung up off the floor and rushed down; it sounded like a Combat class, and PJ wasn't going to be missing any of that, heee!

Given that I only at maximum do one or two classes a week, I don't feel like I am really 'qualified' to give a verdict on the release - though Jace who was a participant in the class said afterwards that the release was AMAZING.

Those were his words exactly. I'd be taking those words and agreeing with them. Yet another awesome Balance release from Jackie and the team.

I read the part about the camera and it made my chuckle. I was featured in the relaxation track for a good 15 seconds. He zoomed in on me and everything. I was so tired do you think I even realised he was there? Hehe and at the last moment I decided to chew my lip, very elegant. hehe

Christelle is the other presenter, originally from France she's an instructor at LM Takapuna and is married to Corey. One of the most beautiful girls I know with amazing technique and has one of the best voices for relaxation that I've heard! Has been a real pleasure watching her journey from shadowing to presenting.

Oooooo, thanks Hayley - Christelle also has a few classes at LM New Lynn, I had no idea that she was married to Corey, how cool is that; I'll have to try out her classes sometime :-D

I only watched a bit of the filming, so I can't really say - but what I did see looked good, and the feedback that I got from the participants who did attend the filming is that it is a great release :-)
