After a couple of shaky tracks to begin with, she loosened up and I tell you what, she did a pretty good job. And what a bonus for me; with everyone doing the new tracks from RPM 39 and me having an itching to do Painkiller, I had little faith in being able to request this from someone for the next couple of weeks. It may not sound like long, but that's 6 RPM classes! Fortunately, somehow in amongst all this, Vanessa did not teach the number 5 from either RPM 38 or RPM 39 - both tracks which I believe she does know - , but she taught Painkiller! She admitted that it was her favourite number 5 track, and hah, that might've been highly influential in my overall opinion of the class.
I headed on upstairs to do Body Jam and met Annie in the hallway. She was pretty much bouncing around with anticipation, she was really keen to go hard with the class. Shortly after, Carla came in and the three of us were huddled around the iPod looking at blocks to put into the class.
I noticed before RPM that everyone seemed to be a bit flat today. There wasn't the energetic buzz that there generally is in the gym. Even in Body Jam, there was that flatness. However, due to Annie's massive amount of enthusiasm, the class just soared in its energy. It was easily the best Body Jam class I've done for a while. Admittedly, it did help that I hadn't done a 5km run and whole lot of weights in there amongst it all like on Tuesday, so I had much more energy to give.
I'm thinking about checking out the course for the race. I was tempted to go and look at it today but my grocery shopping took over two hours(!).
We'll see.
