We actually didn't do the cooldown in the 10am class, we did it in the 5pm class - but other than that, both classes were the same.
I was meeting a friend for coffee in town and I figured a great way to burn off the tiramisu tart was to do the additional Jam class. Also, Carla and Annie were running Body Jam Intro, something which I've never attended before.
I went along with it, and was a little bit stunned when Carla called everyone over to assemble in front of the mirrors. Ummmm... no. I didn't particularly want to look at myself, and while I do want to be the sort of person who doesn't look at themselves and judge their 'beauty' based on some sort of preconceived notion, but I did not like what I saw. I was the largest person by far in the class, and it felt awful. Noone did or said anything to make me feel out of place, but looking at myself in amongst everyone else, the words that went through my head were, "I don't belong here."
For someone who lives and breathes Body Jam like I do, this was not a nice thought to be having.
Thankfully, when the class started I managed to shirk away from that I'm Too Fat To Fit In feeling.
Sad though, for that reason and that reason alone, I'll never do Body Jam Intro ever again.
