But I was very keen to have my morning session with Adam, since it wasn't an exercise session - it was a talking session. I'll elaborate more on it for a DYHAXLIT post later since we made heaps of progress, and already, I feel much much more confident about moving forward.
Aside from that - since I missed out on Pump yesterday morning, I decided to go for Magali's 4:30pm class. It was great going in knowing that I wouldn't have to rush off for work afterwards, and I leisurely set up my weights. Magali came in 10 minutes before the class was due to start, and suddenly shrieked in horror. She sprung off the stage and ran through the class, shouting "I left my iPod at home!!!"
Poor thing!
She returned about 15 minutes later, all in a fluster and stressed out. I say, it was a mammoth job to go back and get the iPod so quickly, and thankfully, everyone else in the class was really understanding.
She had a tough class in store for us, so I'm really glad that I stuck around, and thankful that she went through the trouble of getting the iPod, rather than handing it over to another Pump instructor. She did the Voodoo Child squat track, the Sweetest Poison chest track, and the super tough Land Of The Living back track. And let's not forget the nasty Let Me Entertain You bicep track.
After the class, I went for a run, and fuck me, it was tough, with all of the muscles in my legs still trembling. It didn't register at the time how tough it was going to be.
I initially thought - 5km.
Then I thought, nah, 3km in 20mins.
But at about 15 minutes in, I felt some discomfort in my lower back. I'm ashamed to say that I tried to ignore it, put it out of my mind, and push myself to that 3km in 20mins. My achilles and calves were complaining - which is normal, but the back twinge, that was something new.
On some level, that scared me.
Which is probably why although my mind was saying "2 more minutes! 2 more minutes!", my body took control and stopped the run.
No injuries for me.

Good! {puts on best mothering voice} Did you ice?
...! I can't believe it, it didn't even OCCUR to me to ice it down. O_O Thankfully, nothing is concerningly sore now (there is some soreness, but DOMS related), though I should know better and ice!
