Plan
- Body Pump @ 6am
- Swimmimg @ 5pm
- Body Pump with Magali
- 60mins
- Swimming - 1.5km (60 lengths)
- 60mins
One of the regulars in Magali's Pump class was leaving and moving somewhere else, so as a parting gift, Magali made the class extra special. She made it TOUGH. And naturally, because I am a nutcase, I increased my weights for my glutes, chest, and triceps. Omma gawesh. What a difference. I might even be a bit sore tomorrow, especially in the glutes!
But the big event of the day is that I got in the pool after my course. It wasn't an Oh My God I Gotta Keep An Eye On The Time swim, like I've been doing at lunchtime at work. It was a proper, "I've got a lot of time to swim, so let's make the most of it" sort of swim.
I decided at first to match my swim from Friday, swimming 50 lengths. I somehow cruised past it and made it to 60 - that goal of 1.5km nonstop that I had set for myself. How the HELL did that happen?! I remember it being so difficult when I did it with Sarah-I!
I'm not sure whether I'm thrilled or disappointed that I achieved it so quickly.
I think I have a long term goal for my swimming now. I definitely want to keep this up in Winter, when the pools empty out and I have a better opportunity to train properly. I'd like to be able to do 4km - aiming to
do that by the end of the year.
A running goal of 10km, a swimming goal of 4km - its official; I have direction.
And it has nothing to do with the scales.
